FUNERAL NOTICE AND OBITUARY
 
Adeline Sophie Ostby, 90, of Glenwood, Minn., formerly of Benson, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Glenwood Retirement Village.  Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.  Interment will be in Our Redeemer’s Church Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson.
 
Adeline Sophie Ostby was born on October 8, 1927, on the family farm in Pennock, Minnesota, the daughter of Evald and Alice (Wennerberg) Danielson.  She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Covenant Church in Pennock.  She grew up on the farm in Mamre Township where she attended country school and graduated from Willmar High School.  Adeline was united in marriage to Luverne Ostby on October 29, 1949, at Salem Covenant Church.  This union was blessed with more than 61 years of marriage.
 
Adeline is survived by her children: Allan (Barb) Ostby of Minnetonka, MN, Larry (Jo) Ostby of Frederick, MD, Kathy (Bill) O’Leary of Starbuck, MN, and Kari Manthei of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Marna Danielson of Pennock, MN, and Elaine Carlson of Willmar, MN.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luverne Ostby on January 14, 2011; son, Jefferey Ostby; brothers, Donald Danielson, Luverne Danielson and Kenneth Danielson; and sister, Dorothy Swanson.
