Peterson, Rasmusson, Rudningen earn All-District for KMS

The KMS football team recently announced its season-ending awards following the 2017 season.  The Saints went 5-5 during the 2017 season, including a 3-4 mark within the Mid-State sub-district.
In the Section 4A Tourney, KMS was seeded sixth, but beat third-seeded Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity in the first round, 26-7, before losing to second-seeded Mayer Lutheran in the semifinals, 42-7.  
Mayer Lutheran went on to earn the section title and also won its first state tournament game to earn a semifinal game against undefeated Minneota, the winners of Section 3A.
BBE won  the Mid-State Blue sub-district with a 7-0 league mark, followed by Royalton at 6-1, Upsala-Swanville Area at 4-3, KMS, Parkers Prairie, and Browerville-Eagle Valley, all at 3-4, Kimball Area at 2-5, and New York Mills at 0-7.
The Saints started out 4-1, but then fell three-straight Fridays to Parkers Prairie (19-6), BBE (24-21) and Royalton (35-0) before starting the Section 4A Tourney.
•  Earning All-District honors for the Saints were Josh Peterson, Brandon Rasmusson, and Dylan Rudningen.
Earning All-District honorable mention were Caleb Collins, Ryan Torkelson, and Regan Carlson.
Rudningen was also selected as the Saints’ Offensive MVP for 2017, while Rasmusson was named the Defensive MVP, and Peterson earned Lineman of the Year honors for KMS.
In addition, Caleb Collins earned the Hardest Worker award, and Chris Moist won the Most Improved honor....
