FUNERAL NOTICE AND OBITUARY
 
Phyllis A. Curley, 92, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Ecumen Meadows Memory Care in Worthington, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.  Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., Monday, October 2, 2017, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in DeGraff, Minn. Interment will be in St. Bridget’s Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
 
Phyllis Ann Curley was born September 15, 1925, the daughter of D.E. and Frances A. (Rosemeier) Manney.  She was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and grew up in the Murdock area.  She graduated from Murdock High School and Litchfield Teacher College.  On June 30, 1951, Phyllis was united in marriage to Lawrence Anthony Curley at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  This union was blessed with more than 55 years of marriage, 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
 
Phyllis taught in one room country schools in Swift County from 1946-1951 and later worked at Angier’s Department Store in Benson from 1970-1986.  She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, an 4-H Adult Leader, and a member of the Swift County Historical Society.  She always enjoyed attending the activities of her children and grandchildren.  
 
She was called from this life on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Ecumen Meadows Memory Care in Worthington, Minnesota.  She attained 92 years and 11 days of age.
 
Phyllis is survived by her children: Ellen (David) Copperud of Worthington, Michael (Susan) Curley of Windom, and Patrick (Judy) Curley of Watertown, SD; grandchildren: Deborah (Jeremy Dawe) Copperud, Daniel (Sosena Ahmed) Copperud, Bridget (Jared) Bullinger, Thomas (Anna) Curley, John Curley, and Sean Curley; great-grandchildren: Anthony, Elizabeth, and Nathan Dawe, Ava and Samuel Copperud, and Carley, Bergen, and Asher Bullinger; and sister, Mary Lou Chamberlain of Clontarf.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Curley on January 20, 2007; parents, D.E. and Frances Manney; sister and brother-in law, Helen and Fred Byrne; and brother-in-law, Ellard Chamberlain.
