Tennis team improves to 5-3 with two more wins
 
The Benson-KMS girls tennis team improved to 5-3 overall with a pair of wins last week.  The Fighting Braves shut out Morris Area to open up the week last Tuesday night in Benson and then won at Long Prairie-GE, Thursday, by a 5-2 score.
Benson-KMS, playing with eight new starters in the lineup, is also 2-1 in the conference.
The team has a big week on tap this week with a home match against Montevideo, Tuesday (yesterday) and a match at Lac qui Parle-DB, Thursday (tomorrow).
Minnewaska Area currently leads the conference with a 4-0 record, while LQP-DB is 3-1, and Benson-KMS and Montevideo are both 2-1.
Leading the way for the Fighting Braves this season are Susan Knutson, Stacy Johnson, and Gracie Lenz, all with 6-2 records, and Emma Heinzig at 5-2.

The Benson-KMS girls tennis team improved to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference with a 7-0 sweep of Morris Area-West Central Area last Tuesday night in Benson.
The Braves did not lose a set against the Tigers, although several of the sets did go to.....
