The Benson volleyball team ran into two of the best teams in the West Central Conference and the result was a pair of shutout losses.
The Braves, who fell to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the WCC, lost to Morris Area-CA last Tuesday night at Morris, 25-7, 25-8, 25-13, and also lost at home to Melrose Area, Thursday, 25-7, 25-12, 27-25.
Benson has three road dates scheduled this week, beginning with a match at Sauk Centre, Tuesday (yesterday) and continuing with a match at BOLD, Thursday (tomorrow), and the Minnewaska Area Tourney, Saturday.

The Benson volleyball team scored just 28 total points during a 25-7, 25-8, 25-13 victory by Morris Area last Tuesday night in Morris.
The Braves, playing without the services of sophomore Claire Ricard, who was injured during the previous week’s match at Minnewaska Area, and senior Grace Lee, who sustained an injury during preseason practices, had just 14 total kills against the Tigers while also committing 30 errors.
