Paul O. Estenson, 67 of Benson, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Swift County Hospital in Benson.  Funeral services will be 11:00 .m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson where a visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.  Burial will be in Skatvold Cemetery in Climax, Minnesota.  Arrangements are with the Harvey Anderson and Johnson Funeral Home in New London.                                                                                                                             www.hafh.org
 
Paul Owen Estenson was born on October 11, 1949, in Crookston, the son of Earl and Myrtle (Romo) Estenson.  He grew up in Climax where he was baptized and confirmed at Climax Lutheran Church.  His family moved to Renville where he attended Renville High School, graduating in 1967.  He continued his education at Moorhead State, graduating in 1971.  He worked in sales throughout his life, working for Johnson Brothers, Paterno Imports and Mogen David division of Coca-Cola. He moved to Benson in 1994 where he owned and operated KSCR radio station. 
 
Paul was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, Duck’s Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.  He was past president of the Benson Golf Course, his college fraternity and board member of Benson’s EDA.  He will be remembered for his stubborn nature, big heart and generosity.
 
Paul died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Swift County Hospital in Benson at the age of 67.  He is survived by his sister, Bonnie (Mike) Scott of Henderson, NV; nephew and niece, Kelly (Jessica) Scott of Blaine and Mollie and (John) Stewart of Henderson, NV; great-nephews and nieces, Tj, Kylie, Carson, Jack, Mick and Annie and close friends, Rick and Cindy Schmidt and Dave and Dee Forkrud.   He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Scott and great-niece, Maggie Stewart.
