The Benson-KMS girls tennis team was set to get its 2017 season underway with a very busy first week of action. 
The Braves, who are coming off a 16-3 season from a year ago, were set to open up at home with a triangular featuring Wadena-Deer Creek and Parkers Prairie at 9 a.m., Monday, Aug. 21 at the high school courts.
However, rain forced a postponement of the opener, but the new makeup date has not been set.
That means the new opener for the Benson-KMS girls tennis team is Tuesday, Aug. 22 (yesterday) at the NLS triangular, followed by a home triangular with Morris Area-CA-WCA and Annandale, Thursday, Aug. 24 (tomorrow); and a match at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Friday, Aug. 25.
The Benson-KMS girls tennis team is expected to face a rebuilding year this year after losing eight seniors to graduation from last year’s team.
Benson-KMS went 7-1 in the WCC last season to place second behind Minnewaska Area.  Benson was 10-0 overall before losing a close....
