2017 Jim Mills Memorial Scholarship winners

Presley Gonnerman and Max Peterson (pictured above) were the 2017 recipients of the Benson High School Jim Mills Memorial Scholarships. They are pictured above with tournament representative, Lee Baker, near a memorial for Jim Mills at the 12th tee of the Benson Golf Club.  Presley is the daughter of Scott and Maureen Gonnerman, and Max is the son of Eric and Lisa Peterson.  The Mills scholarships are awarded annually to a pair of BHS graduating seniors.  The scholarships are funded with proceeds from the Jim Mills Memorial Golf Tournament, which is scheduled this year for Saturday, Aug 5.  This year’s proceeds will also be donated to the BHS Scoreboard Fundraiser.  The tournament is open to the public and there are no entry fees, only normal green fees.  Golfers can call the Benson Golf Club at 842-7901 to reserve their groups in the tourney.
