2017 SWIFT COUNTY COURTHOUSE ASBESTOS
REMOVAL PROJECT
Notice is hereby given that bids will be received in a sealed envelope by the Swift County Board of Commissioners and clearly marked on the outside that it is a bid proposal for the 2017 Swift County Courthouse Asbestos Removal Project, according to specifications on file with the County Administrator, within the Swift County Courthouse, 301 14th Street North, Benson, Minnesota, 56215. Bids are to be addressed to the County Administrator located at 301 14th Street North, Benson, Minnesota, 56215, and will be received until Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at which time the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud in the Board of Commissioners Room located on the main level of the Swift County Courthouse, and tabulated for review by staff members who will make recommendations to the Swift County Board of Commissioners for their consideration at a later meeting. At that time, copies of the tabulation will be available to interested parties or the bids otherwise made public and the Board will take action thereon.
The project consists of the abatement of asbestos containing materials, stabilization of lead-based paint and handling of other regulated materials prior to the renovation of the Swift County Courthouse.
Each bidder must furnish with each proposal a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid made payable to the Swift County Treasurer, Benson, Minnesota, to be forfeited as damages in case the proposal has been accepted and the bidder fails to enter into a contract with Swift County or fails to deliver services as specified according to the provision of these bid specifications. The Swift County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bids.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk through will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., within the Board of Commissioners Room located on the main level within the Swift County Courthouse, Benson, Minnesota.

Plans will be available for download starting on June 12, 2017. Plan Holders are parties who have downloaded the plans and specifications from the Quest CDN private interface site. Only Plan Holders will be notified via email if an addenda is issued. Paper copies are not available for the project listed on this site. Plan Holders that download the plans and specifications may print them themselves or have them printed elsewhere at their own expense.
