            Gregory “Greg” Ray Hampton, age 55, Benson, MN, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar, MN.
            Funeral services will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Benson, MN.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.  Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
            Greg was born December 1, 1961 in Minot, ND to Raymond and Virginia (Pratt) Hampton.  He received a Bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University.  Greg was employed by General Mills in Rapid City, SD from 1985 to 1994; AAL, Thrivent and General Mills in Moorhead, MN from 1994 to 1998; and most recently was employed in insurance and investments by State Bank of Danvers and owned and operated the Benson Agency in Benson, MN.  Greg enjoyed basketball, hunting, fishing, camping and going to the lake.  He loved his family, friends and dogs and was known for his good sense of humor.
            Survivors include his children, Toni (Zach) Swanson of Plymouth, MN; Kayla Hampton of Minneapolis, MN; and Ryan Hampton of Duluth, MN; mother Virginia Hampton of St. Cloud, MN; sister, Sue (Steve) Grimm of Hinckley, MN; and many close relatives and friends.
            He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hampton.
