Arthur William Flannigan, 75, of Roseville, Minnesota died peacefully Friday, June 2, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was a proud and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all he came across.

A celebration of his amazing life will take place at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Benson  Friday, June 9 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Friends and family are invited to Patrick’s Pub on the upper deck following the service for a light lunch, desserts and coffee in celebration of our father, grandfather, brother and dear friend.

Arthur lived his life as a hard working man running Flannigan Trucking and spending time with his family. His smile and laughter were contagious to all. He adored his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent many of his final days simply enjoying family, friends and laughing.

He loved camping, playing cards and enjoyed coffee with friends. Art wanted all of his children and grandchildren to be the best they could be. He provided for his children and grandchildren and made sure they were given every opportunity this life offers. He attended his children’s and grandchildren’s sports functions, especially wrestling and football. He was a part of the Benson booster clubs for both sports.

Art loved to travel, visiting Washington state many times, Disneyland with several of his children and grandchildren, Bermuda and he took numerous trips to South Dakota as a part of his work for his trucking business. He also enjoyed stock car races, horse races and cheered on every Minnesota sports team.

Art was a friend to all and was especially grateful for his buddies Jack Kennedy and Mike McLaughlin. Wherever he went with his friends, children or grandchildren, he knew everyone and brought out the best in them. There was always laughter.

Art loved country music. He never did anything small. He loved big. His generosity and laughter will carry on through all those who loved him and were touched by his joyous spirit.

He will be missed and loved forever by his children Robert “Punky” Flannigan of Roseville, Rick (and Terry) Flannigan of Benson, Jennifer (and Terry) Sullivan of Benson, Jodi Flannigan of Roseville and Ron (and Mandy) Flannigan of Benson, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; his brother Steven Flannigan of St. Paul and his many dear friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandson Patrick Sullivan, his brother Dwayne, his dear friend Jack Kennedy and many other friends and family.

Cards and memories may be sent to Art Flannigan Family, P.O. Box 66, Benson, MN 56215.
