At the tender age of 89 years, 3 months, and 15 days, Barbara Ann Yost was called from her home on May 29, 2017, by her Creator and delivered by the hands of His holy angels to be presented in judgement before her Lord, Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm, Wednesday, May 31, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to the Mass at church.  A rosary will be offered up for the repose of Barbara Ann’s soul at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. 
A requiem funeral mass of the Tridentine Rite with be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, June 1st at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Father Jacques Emily officiating.  Interment to follow in the church cemetery with lunch provided following the burial back at the church.  “To Jesus through Mary"
 
Barbara Ann O’Brien was welcomed into this world on St. Valentine’s Day – February 14, 1928, by her loving parents, Robert and Gertrude O’Brien in Benson, Minnesota.  Barbara Ann was their only child and she was raised on a humble family farm in Langhei Township, Pope County, Minnesota.
 
She graduated from Benson High School in 1946 after first attending a one-room schoolhouse through the 8th grade.  Barbara Ann then pursued an education in nursing from the College of St. Catherine School of Nursing in Minneapolis.  Barbara Ann began her career as a registered nurse in 1949 at the Swift County Hospital in Benson.
 
Barbara Ann met Robert Yost in the fall of 1949 and they began their courtship shortly afterwards.  They became united in Holy Matrimony on January 22, 1951, to begin their journey of 66 years together on the Yost family homestead in Dublin Township, Swift County, Minnesota.  To this marriage, Barbara and Bob were blessed with 10 children to provide them the joys of happiness to their family farm.
 
Barbara Ann is survived by her loving family: husband, Robert of Murdock; ten children: Roberta Yost of Richfield; Roderick (Carol) Yost of Murdock; Philip (Connie) Yost of Murdock; Lambert Yost of Murdock; Celeste (Chuck) Koestler of St. Charles; Nicholas (Louise) Yost of Benson; Henry Yost of Marion, IA; Christopher Yost of Murdock; Robert Yost of New Prague; and Katherine (Christopher) Buschmann of Woodbury; 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; step-granddaughter, Rachel (Brian) Kasperson and her 3 children along with many other relatives and close friends.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Gertrude O’Brien.
