Benson softball team falls to Minnewaska Area and Atwater-CGC

The Benson softball team is still searching for its first win this season after going 0-3 last week.  The Braves were swept in a home doubleheader with Minnewaska Area last Tuesday night, 7-0 and 10-3, and Benson also lost at Atwater-CGC, Friday, 11-7, despite outhitting the home team, 17-16.
Grace Lee had three hits during the 10-3 loss to the Lakers, while Nicole Berens was 4-for-5, Presley Gonnerman was 3-for-4, and Megan Amundson had two homeruns and five RBI during the loss to ACGC.
The Braves, who fell to 0-6 overall and 0-6 in the WCC, have five more games scheduled this week.  Benson was set to host Montevideo, Monday before hosting a doubleheader with BOLD, Tuesday, hosting Melrose, Thursday, and playing a non-conference game at Redwood Valley, Friday....
