The Benson-KMS boys and girls track teams competed at the Morris Invitational last Tuesday night, competing shorthanded in both meets due to the BHS choir trip to New York last week.

Morris Area dominated both meets, almost doubling up the runner-up team in both meets.  The Morris Area girls totaled 170 points compared to 95 for West Central Area and 19 for eighth-place Benson-KMS, while the Morris Area girls had 136.4 points compared to 71.33 for runner-up Melrose and 56.75 for fifth-place Benson-KMS.

The only winners for Benson-KMS were Carlie Lenz in the girls pole vault (6-6), Josh Bailey in the boys 3200 meter run (10:29.02), and Zach Burns in the boys pole vault (10-6).

Next up for the track and field teams are the Minnewaska Area Invitational, Tuesday, April 18 and the Lac qui Parle Invitational, Thursday, April 20....
