Connelly goes over 1,000 points during Braves’ win over Hancock

The Benson boys basketball team had a 1-2 week, beating Hancock in a non-conference game in Benson, Thursday (71-56), but also losing at home to Sauk Centre last Tuesday night (58-44) and at BOLD, Friday (80-72).  The Braves dropped to 4-11 overall and 1-7 in the WCC after last week’s action.
During the game with Hancock, Layton Connelly became the sixth boy at BHS to reach 1,000 career points, joining Aaron Lindahl (1,658), Daniel Fragodt (1,466), Adam Jensen (1,330), Sam Peterson (1,315), and Jacob Fahl (1,126).
This week, Benson has three more games scheduled beginning with a game at Montevideo, Tuesday (yesterday) and continuing with a game at YME, Thursday (tomorrow), and at Minnewaska Area, Friday.  After that, only five more games remain on the regular-season schedule....
