Anne Dolan Kelly was born on October 20, 1920 and passed peacefully on
January 26, 2017 at St. Therese in New Hope.  She graduated from Benson
High School and the College of St. Catherine.   She began her career
with the United Way in St. Paul, but she spent the bulk of her career as
a very successful life insurance agent for the Penn Mutual Company.
On June 14, 1951, she married James L. Kelly, a Minneapolis corporate
and business attorney.   Jim and Anne lived in South Minneapolis, and
both were very involved in civic and Catholic community activities in
Minneapolis.   Anne is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of
the College of St. Catherine, former President of the Minneapolis League
of Catholic Women, and a founding member of the Board of Directors for
St. Therese Home for Seniors in New Hope, MN.    She was a very engaged
member of the Catholic community and was a very active fundraiser for
many Catholic issues and causes throughout her life.
Anne is survived by her sister, Edith “Betty” Dolan, and many nieces and
nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.  
 She is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Kelly, who died in
1979, her father and mother, Francis and Edith Dolan, her brother and
sister-in-law, Robert and Helen Dolan, her sister and brother-in-law,
Virginia and Richard  Dickerman, and sister and brother-in-law, Patricia
and Jim Vogel.   She is also preceded in death by many family members,
including her aunt, Cecelia Dolan and her nephews, Terrance Dolan and
John and Greg Dickerman.
Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday January 31, 2017 11:00 a.m. at  St.
Catherine University, Our Lady of Victory Chapel, 2004 Randolph Ave, St
Paul, MN 55105 Visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be with
her husband, Jim, in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
Arrangements are being handled by the Gill Brothers Funeral Home in
South Minneapolis.
