Braves top Paynesville for second win

The Benson boys basketball team split a pair of games last week with Paynesville and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.
The Braves, now 2-7 overall and 1-3 in the WCC, edged Paynesville in a non-conference game in Benson, Thursday, 54-41, but one night later, the Braves fell to ACGC at home, 87-50.
The 87 points was a season-high allowed by the Benson defense this year, and the Braves have also scored above 60 points in only two of the season’s first nine games.
This week, Benson was set to play at Montevideo, Tuesday (yesterday) before hosting Morris Area, Friday, and KMS, Monday, Jan. 16....
