Benson eighth at Braves Wrestling Classic

The Benson wrestling team hosted the Braves Wrestling Classic, Friday, with 10 area teams taking part.  Tracy Area-Westbrook-Walnut Grove had just one individual champion, but added five runners-up, four fourths, four fifths and a sixth to place first with 202.5 points.
Canby, which had two champions and five third-place finishers, was second with 192.5 points, while Quad County was third with 167 points, and Benson was eighth with 109.5 points.
Adam Zosel had the top finish for Benson, placing second at 132 pounds, while Chase Young was third at 126 pounds, and four other Braves placed fourth.
The Braves are now set to compete at a triangular at BOLD, Thursday (tomorrow)  with Howard Lake-WW also competing, before preparing for a triangular at home, Tuesday, Jan. 10 with Paynesville and Minnewaska Area....
