Emily Rohloff, age 44, of Aberdeen, SD, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Madison.  Arrangements are with Weiland Funeral Chapel of Madison, SD.  Online condolences can be sent at www.weilandfuneralchapel.com.    
Emily Ann Bohl was born June 20, 1972 in Madison, SD, the daughter of Dan & Judy (Hyink) Bohl.  She attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School and part of high school in Hoven, SD before graduating from Chester High School in 1990.  In 1991, Emily married Steve Rohloff at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Madison and to this union two children were born, Megan & Jeff.  Emily completed her college education in 1994 at Dakota State University with a degree in Elementary Education.  Her first teaching job was at the Orland Colony near Madison.  Emily then moved to Storm Lake, IA and taught there for a short time.  Emily moved to Montevideo, MN and worked various jobs, but mainly worked as a proofreader for the Montevideo American News. 
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, baking and going to the lake with family.  Emily was a part of many lives while she was here with us and that will continue because of her decision to be an organ & tissue donor. 
She is survived by her daughter, Megan (Derick) Pownell and son, Jeff Rohloff both of Benson, MN; two grandchildren, Kimberlynn & Daxton Pownell; parents, Dan & Judy Bohl of Madison, SD; brother, Eric (Jolene) Bohl and their children, Sammie & Alex of Dickinson, ND; brother, Jason (Amy) Bohl and their children, Lindsey, Macy, Carmen & Preston of Garretson, SD; many aunts, uncles & cousins; friend, Arlin Greger of Aberdeen, SD; Megan & Jeff’s father, Steve Rohloff of Morris, MN and Steve’s parents, Denny (Alice) Rohloff of Benson, MN.
Emily was preceded in death by her paternal & maternal grandparents; infant niece and one aunt.
