Fire east of Kerkhoven results in total loss of barn, 1500 pigs

From the Swift County Sheriff's Office:
On December 6 at 1421 Swift County Dispatch received a 911 car of a barn fire located on Hwy 12 east of Kerkhoven. Kerkhoven Fire, Murdock fire, Degraff fire, Sunburg fire and Pennock fire responded along with Wilmar rescue and Ambulance and Kerkhoven ambulance and Swift County Sheriff's Office and Kandiyohi Sheriffs Office.
There were 1500 pigs in the barn which was a total loss. The Minnesota Fire Marshall has been contacted and the fire is is under investigation at this time.
