Diane Lynn (Martin) Sherry
December 25, 1953 – October 31, 2016

Diane Lynn (Martin) Sherry, age 62, of Sacred Heart, Minnesota, formerly of Benson, died Monday, October 31, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Benson. Interment will be in the Benson City Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
Diane Lynn Sherry was born December 25, 1953 in Park Rapids, Minnesota to Darold and Donna (Peterson) Martin.  She was baptized on February 28, 1954 in Park Rapids at St. John’s Lutheran Church and confirmed in Benson on May 5, 1968 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.  Diane graduated from Benson High School with the Class of 1971.  She continued her education at the University of Minnesota – Crookston for Legal Assistant.
On June 20, 1980, Diane was united in marriage to Paul Sherry in Minneapolis.  They were blessed with over 36 years of marriage.  Diane held many different jobs over the years.  She worked as a legal secretary while living in Florida in the 1980’s.  When Diane and Paul moved back to Minnesota they lived in Shakopee and Jordon before settling in Sacred Heart.  Diane enjoyed the many trips over the road with her husband Paul.  She also enjoyed cross-stitching, listening to music, and playing cards or any board games.  She loved going for walks, especially with her pets who gave her great joy.
In June of 2014, Diane moved to the RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville, MN where she was currently residing.  Diane passed away on October 31, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital with Paul at her side.  She attained 62 years, 10 months, and 6 days of age.  Blessed be her memory.
Diane is survived by her husband, Paul Sherry of Sacred Heart; her parents, Darold and Donna Martin of Benson; two sisters, Debra Kennetz of St. Louis Park and Denice Martin-Conyers (Bruce) of DeGraff; one brother, Dave Martin (Lori) of Benson; three nieces, Jill Carlson (Mike), Julie Martin and Kristy Kennetz; and two nephews, Tony Kennetz and Daniel Martin; aunt, Gen Morrissey; seven cousins; and her great friend, Kelly Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Marie Sherry in infancy; grandparents, Oliver and Manda Peterson and Lester and Anna Martin; uncles, Gerald Peterson, Wayne Morrissey and Wilmer Martin; and aunt, Rachel Martin.
