Ricard-Vergin place fourth at section individual tourney

The season came to an end last Tuesday for the Benson-KMS girls tennis team at the Section 6A Tournament at Fitness Evolution in Sartell.
The Braves, who ended the team portion of their season the previous week with a 4-3 loss to Osakis, competed in the Section 6A Individual Tourney last Monday and Tuesday.
Benson finished 16-3 overall this season, which included a 7-1 mark in the WCC, good enough for second place behind undefeated Minnewaska Area (8-0).
Minnewaska Area, which edged Benson earlier this year (4-3) to win the WCC title, went on to earn its second-straight state tournament berth with a 6-1 win over Osakis in the Section 6A finals.
In the individual tourney, Kellie Enderson went 1-1 and Rose McDonald 0-1 in singles, while Katie Samuelson and Gracie Grussing went 1-1 in doubles, and Grace Ricard and Olivia Vergin went 2-2 to finish fourth overall....
