Timothy Phillip Wyatt, age 60, was born on January 24, 1956 in Long Beach, California, the son of George and Carol (Johnson) Wyatt. He was baptized in March of 1956 by Pastor Korshaven at Bethel Lutheran Church and he was confirmed in 1973 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Beach by Pastor Breitheim. He grew up in Long Beach and attended Bret Harte Elementary School, Lindbergh Junior High School, and graduated from Jordan High School. He joined the United States Army and served his country from 1977 to 1983.
Tim moved to Minnesota and worked at Long Lake & Glass repairing and replacing windows. He was an excellent glazier and took great pride in the fact he never cut himself working with glass!  He moved to Benson and spent the past nine years sharing his life with Patty Kurkosky and her children and grandchildren.  He found a great sense of enjoyment in repairing windows, manicuring his mom’s lawns, delivering newspapers for the Monitor, and working on our old property, Greystone.  It should be noted that Tim was a perfectionist, always completing a job correctly the first time, rather than the second!  Sometimes that required a slow pace and extended time, but when done, the job was exceptional!  This trait was instilled in the military where he excelled as an electrician, mechanic, and carpenter.  He was very proud of his work!  He also enjoyed reading his Bible and having thoughtful conversations with his Mom at home, or at Bible study meetings.  He was a very religious and spiritual man and had great faith.  He loved singing “Jesus Loves Me” to the children.
Tim was called from this life on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at his home in Benson.  He attained the age of 60 years, 7 months, and 14 days of age.  He is survived by his mother, Carol Wyatt of Benson; his children: Tiffany (Joe) Komora, Jessica Wyatt, and Holly Wyatt, all of Pittsburg, PA, and Michael Wyatt of Lake Elsinore, CA; Patty Kurkosky and her children: Ryan, Sean, Kelsie, Kory, and Kyle, all of Benson; his siblings: Val Wyatt of Camarillo, CA, Sharon (David) DeBruler of Bellingham, WA, Guy Wyatt of Benson, Mike (Kathy Sieben) Wyatt of Coon Rapids, and Jimmie (Tina Endicott) Wyatt of La Habra, CA; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George; and his grandparents: Lewis Johnson and Mildred Johnson Meader, and Galen and Juanita Wyatt.
