Dianne Kay (Jaeger) McGeary, age 66, of Benson, Minnesota, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at home under Hospice care.  Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.  www.zniewskifuneralhome.com
Dianne Kay McGeary was born on August 1, 1950 in Montevideo, Minnesota, the daughter of Boyd E. and Lucille A. (Fuhrman) Jaeger.  She was baptized at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and confirmed at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.  She graduated from Benson High School in 1968.  On June 19, 1971, Dianne was united in marriage to William P. McGeary at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church.  This union was blessed with more than 45 years of marriage, two children, and six grandchildren.  Dianne worked at 1st State Bank until the birth of Sarah, when she decided to stay home with their children.  Dianne enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader when Sarah was young.  As Sarah and Danny grew up, Dianne went back to working outside her home at Interior Views, Do-Mats and Herberger’s.  She loved shopping for purses, shoes and jewelry.  Dianne was a great cook and was famous for her brownies and potato salad.  She absolutely loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
Dianne passed away on August 30, 2016 at home under Hospice care.  She attained the age of 66 years and 29 days.  She is survived by her husband, Bill McGeary of Benson; children, Sarah (Jeff) Mc-Geary-DeHaan and Danny (Caryn) McGeary, all of Benson; six grandchildren: Morgan, Brennden and Brady DeHaan and Libby, Mya and Mason McGeary; siblings, Bruce (Paulette) Jaeger of Benson and Bradley (Karen) Jaeger of Marshall; uncle, Donnie Jaeger of Benson; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Lucille Jaeger.
