Barbara J. (Payne) Cramlet

Lead Summary

Barbara J. (Payne) Cramlet (76) of Estero, FL (formerly of Delafield, WI) peacefully passed away at her Delafield home on Saturday, August 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Barb was born in a farming community of west central MN, the 2nd eldest daughter of 10. Barb entered into holy matrimony July 2, 1960 to her beloved husband of 56 years, Richard (Dick) Cramlet. Barb had a successful 40-year career as a hair stylist, owning and operating Special Effects in Hair Design in Delafield for many years.
Barb had a generous heart for giving back to the communities she resided in from WI to FL, volunteering and serving whenever she could. Barb and Dick retired in 1994 and traveled to all 50 states and abroad before becoming FL “snowbirds.” Barb’s hobbies included painting, quilting, cooking, traveling, reading, an occasional trip to the casino and a special passion for all things Alaska. Gratefully, she passed many of these talents on to her children and grandchildren through endless hours spent together making memories. As our matriarch, Barb instilled the values of faith, family, hard work, fairness and generosity in her loving family that we will strive to emulate for generations to come as we miss and honor her forever.
Barb is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) Cramlet, Children, Bradley (Colleen) Cramlet; Stacie (Jimmie) Trail; Leslie (Brad Bella) Boerger; Tony (Jennifer) Cramlet; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Barb is preceded in death by her parents, infant sister and son-in-law.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Dr. Hartland, WI. Visitation will precede the Mass from 9:30 until 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks any monetary donations be made to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, Primary Peritoneal Cancer Research. www.lombardifoundation.org
