Jerry Allen Clark was born February 27, 1950 in Benson, Minnesota to Richard and Deloris Burns. Jerry and his twin sister made local news tipping the scale at 16 pounds at birth. When the twins were 2-1/2 years old, their mother, Deloris, was killed in an auto accident. They were later adopted by Deloris’ sister, Helen, and husband Laury Clark.

The Clark family moved to Washington state in 1962 where Jerry attended culinary school, worked at several jobs before retiring from the Boeing Co. after 26 years of service.

Jerry married Susan Putich May 19, 1973. They were married 43 years and had a daughter, Maureen.

Jerry’s joy was basketball. He attended high school sports regularly. Near retirement, he became involved in the Burlington, WA horsehoe club, eventually winning tournaments.

He was editor of the Shoe News for a while. One honor Jerry received was his induction into the Washington State Horseshoe Pitchers Association Hall of Fame. He was very proud of that.

Jerry went home to be with his Lord July 16, 2016 after a two year battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Deloris Burns, and Helen and Laury Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, of 43 years; daughter, Maureen; son-in-law, Bret; grandchildren: Bailey, Savannah, Montana, Nic, Judy, Raegan and Callum; brothers: Richard Burns and Lou, Mark Clark and Barb; sisters: Barbara Hoss and Jeanne Bynum Sloane and many family members.

Jerry will always be remembered by his family and friends as a good and faithful servant of the Lord and a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
