Gladys Verone Paulson, age 95, was born on September 30, 1920, in Hayes Township, rural Kerkhoven, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Alice (Lindgren) Johnson.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.  She grew up on the farm in Hayes Township in the Kerkhoven area and attended country school and graduated from Kerkhoven High School.  On September 7, 1940, she was united in marriage to Walter Paulson at her parent’s farm.
Gladys and Walter farmed near Kerkhoven and raised chickens, pigs, cows, and sheep.  In 1977, they moved to Benson.  She was a member of the Monson Lake Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Aid.  Gladys enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bingo, cooking and baking, sewing, attending quilting parties, and spending time with her family.  She was called from this life on Sunday morning, July 17, 2016, at the Golden Living Center in Benson.
Gladys is survived by her son Gaylord (Coleta) Paulson of Sandpoint, Idaho; a daughter-in-law Donna Paulson of Benson; three grandchildren: Nannette Paulson, Tracy (Monte) Young, both of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Denise (Paul) Fowler of Becker; eight great-grandchildren: Josh, Bryanna, Lexes, Zachary, Dariann, Cody, Layla, and Lillian; and two great-great-grandchildren, Tristan and Ayla.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents John and Alice, a brother Eugene, a son Darrell, and a grandson Dennis and his wife Lory Paulson.
