Jody Lynn Anderson, age 47, of Appleton, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at Avera Heart Hospital of South Dakota.  Visitation will be held 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Zniewski Funeral Home Vaala Chapel in Appleton.  Visitation will continue on Saturday, July 16, 2016, from 12 – 1 p.m., followed by the funeral at 1 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Moyer Township.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Homes.
 
Jody Lynn Anderson was born on May 19, 1969 in Ortonville, Minnesota, the daughter of Larry Eugene and CherylAnn C. (Carlin) Anderson.  She grew up on a farm around Milbank, South Dakota and then moved to Walcott, North Dakota.  She graduated from Kindred North Dakota High School in 1987 and attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton.  Jody lived in the Appleton area for 21 years.  She worked at the Prairie Correction Facility from 1993 to 2006 and had worked her way up to the position of Lieutenant.  She then worked for Paddle Bar, Johnson Trucking, and Home Health Care.  Since September of 2010, Jody was a Communications Corrections Officer for the Swift County Sheriff’s Office.  Among the many things Jody enjoyed was gardening and, although it wasn’t her strongest talent, she kept on trying.  She was a dedicated Vikings Fan and loved to spend time visiting with her friends and family.
 
Jody passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016, at Avera Heart Hospital of South Dakota.  She attained the age of 47 years, 1 month, and 22 days.  Jody is survived by her son, Dylan Hooth of Appleton; her significant other, Kevin Beyer of Appleton and his daughters, Adrianne Beyer and Shelby Beyer, both of Mankato; her sister, Kelly Schell of Milbank; her brother, Troy Heitland of Appleton; nieces: Jen Schell, Kara Heitland, and Karissa Mielitz; nephews: Ryan Heitland, Blaine Schell, Sam Heitland, Ethan Mielitz, and Jaxon Heitland; great-nieces, Olivia Schell and Skylar Stock; and great-nephew, Peyton Schell.
 
She was preceded in death by her mother, CherylAnn Veen; father, Larry Anderson; sister, JulieAnn Carlin; brother, Carl Heitland; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.  Blessed be the memory of Jody Lynn Anderson.
