Anita Mary Tucker, 82, of Willmar, Minnesota died Friday morning, May 27, 2016 at Copperleaf Senior Living Community in Willmar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m.  Tuesday, August 9, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Murdock.   
Anita Mary Tucker was born May 17, 1934,  in Clara City, the daughter of Frank and  Irene (Bailey) Schoen.  She moved with her family as a young child from Clara City to a farm south of Murdock, where she grew up.  She quit school just after starting the ninth grade to help care for her mother who was dying of cancer.  After her mother’s death, she helped take care of her nine brothers and sisters.
Anita was united in marriage to Ronald James Tucker on October 29, 1952.  They resided north of Murdock, where they farmed until they moved to Willmar in 1994.
Anita enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, and walking.  She also spent many hours helping Ron with the farming.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; two sons, Larry (and Patricia) Tucker and Robert Tucker; a daughter, Linda (and Loren) Gorres; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marlene Wilke, Judy Tengwall, and Ramona (and Kenneth) Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Irene; stepmother, Violet; five brothers; one sister; and one daughter-in-law.
Anita will be greatly missed by her beloved husband and family.
