Braves rout Lakeview for third win

The Benson baseball team won its second-straight game with an 11-1 victory at Lakeview last Tuesday night.  The Braves, who improved to 3-4 overall, scored at least one run in four of its five at-bats to end the game early due to the 10-run rule.
Benson, which is 0-4 in the WCC, was also set to host Minnewaska Area in a doubleheader, Thursday, but those games were postponed due to cold and snow.  They will be rescheduled as single games with one game at Minnewaska Area, Monday, May 9 at 4 p.m. and the other in Benson at 5 p.m., Monday, May 16.
This week, Benson is set to host Atwater-CGC in a doubleheader, Tuesday before playing at Montevideo, Friday.

The Braves won their second-straight game with an 11-1 win at Lakeview last Tuesday night in Cottonwood.
Danny Lenarz (pictured) picked up the win with a complete-game two-hitter, while Ty Hedman and Lenarz both had two hits to lead the offense.
Benson went up 4-0 after its first at-bats, and added a single run in the second, four in the fourth, and two more in the fifth to end the game early due to the 10-run rule...
