Norma Fox

Lead Summary

Norma Fox, age 85, of rural Appleton, died Sunday, April 24, 2016 in her home.  A memorial gathering was held Saturday, April 30th at Zniewski Funeral Home –Vaala Chapel in Appleton.  It was Norma’s desire to be cremated and not have a funeral.  We, her family, are honoring her request. 
Norma Jane Converse, daughter of Martha E & Elmer E Converse was born July 21, 1930 in Walnut Grove, MN.  She graduated from Walnut Grove High School.  She was united in marriage to Lloyd Fox in 1948.  They lived in Minneapolis a short time before moving to Revere, MN to take over the farm.  They relocated in 1957 to the current Fox farm by Appleton, MN where she resided until she passed away peacefully on April 24, 2016.
Norma & Lloyd were the founders of the Hegbert Winners 4-H Club, were very active in the club and saw to it that it was successful.  Norma assisted son, Joe, in his catering business in the Appleton area for many years.  Norma enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening and shared those talents and the fruits of them with many throughout her life.
Surviving her are her three children:  John (Susan) Fox, Stockholm SD, Nancy (Roger) Pederson, Glenwood MN, and Joe E Fox, Appleton, MN; five Grandchildren; two Great-Grandchildren; two sisters; a brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lloyd; and three sisters.
