Pearl E. Palmer, age 95, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Golden Living Center – Meadow Lane in Benson, Minnesota.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 26, 2016, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson with visitation for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Benson City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Rice Hospice, Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, or Prairie 5 Food Shelf.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson, MN.   www.zniewskifuneralhome.com
 
Pearl Edith Marion Palmer was born on March 11, 1920 in North Germany Township, Wadena County, Minnesota, the daughter of Leslie E. and Anna Marie (Hansen) Bounds.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and grew up in rural Verndale, MN.  On September 27, 1938, Pearl was united in marriage to Henry William Westberg in Park Rapids, Minnesota.  They lived in International Falls and were blessed with three children.  Henry passed in 1957.
 
On June 6, 1959, Pearl was united in marriage to Raymond Ellis Palmer in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  This union was blessed with one child.  In December of 1961, the family moved to Benson and Pearl worked at Sears Roebuck as a sales clerk and bookkeeper.  Pearl was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge.  She loved to play cards and enjoyed various card clubs, dominos, pinochle, watching birds, staying in touch with friends and family through email, and had great interest in hair and cosmetics.  She also loved stock car racing, snowmobiling and absolutely loved dancing.
 
Pearl was called from this life on February 18, 2016 at the Golden Living Center - Meadow Lane Nursing Home.  She attained the age of 95 years, 11 months and 7 days.
 
Pearl is survived by her children: Jerry (Linda) Westberg, Gwen (Clayton) Dale, Laura Wilson, Judy Leiner, and Bonnie Allison; grandchildren: Joyellyn (Rob) Krajewski, Todd Westberg, Mark Dale, Eydie Thompson, Jody (Bo) Thompson, Michelle Leiner, Christy Grossenbacher, Rex Leiner Jr., Hoss (Sharon) Allison, and Sherry Carosielli; great-grandchildren: Justin Thompson, Kelli Westberg, Michael Westberg, Scott Dale-Morrison, Ava Krajewski, Eden Krajewski, Josh (Ashley) Leiner, Jordan (Jamie) Leiner, Rayne Leiner, Nicholas Allison, Dillon Allison, Emily Allison, Alicia Manly, John Besancon Jr., Spencer (Alisha) Besancon, and Kate Thompson; great-great-grandchildren: Braelyn Westberg, Kylie Westberg, Allana Westberg, Jaycee Leiner, Jaeger Leiner, and Chase Besancon;  brothers: Ed (Amy) Bounds and Mark (Peggy) Bounds; sisters: Carol (Duane) Johnson, Norma (Don) Youngbauer, and Betty (Bruce) Schlup; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Westberg; son, Robert Westberg; husband, Raymond Palmer; parents, Leslie and Anna Marie Bounds; brothers, Merle Bounds and Maurice Bounds; sister, Shirley Bounds Allen; great-grandson, Tyler Thompson; and son-in-law Rex Leiner, Sr.
