Kerk Legion eliminated by NLS, 7-5

The Kerkhoven Legion baseball team was eliminated for the season after losing 7-5 to New London-Spicer, Saturday, in a Division II, District 7 South Tournament game.
Kerkhoven had open up the tourney with a 9-1 win over Eden Valley last Monday night, but then fell to Glenwood the next night (5-0) before staying alive with a 12-2 win over Hancock in the first game of the consolation bracket, Thursday.
Morris went on to earn the title of the tournament, while Glenwood also advances after placing second with a 17-5 victory over Wheaton in the consolation bracket finals.
The District 7 Final Four also includes BOLD and Madison.
Kerkhoven 9, Eden Valley 1
The Kerkhoven Legion baseball team opened up the Division II, District 7 North playoffs with a 9-1 victory over Eden Valley last Monday night in Kerkhoven.
Kerkhoven, which improved to 6-6 overall, also beat Eden Valley earlier this season, 14-8.
Brandin Dahl went 4-for-4 and Rylan Hatlestad pitched a complete game to lead Kerkhoven, which is 3-1 in its last four games.
