Long-term lease could be option for CentraCare, SCBHS

At its meeting June 27, the Swift County-Benson Hospital Governing Board went into a closed session to discuss its negotiations strategy with CentraCare Health on their future relationship. 
The three-year management with CentraCare the two have been operating under comes to an end Dec. 31. The question being studied by SCBHS and CentraCare for what follows has focused on whether to continue with a management agreement, or if the two pursue full affiliation where the St. Cloud-based regional healthcare provider takes on full ownership of the hospital and clinic. Whether or not it would also take on the assisted living facility has been considered separately.
