Lady Storm earn first win over International Falls

The MBA Lady Storm earned their first win of the season during the opening round of the Benson Holiday Girls Hockey Tourney.
MBA beat International Falls, 8-1, in the first game last Tuesday afternoon before losing to Litchfield-DC in the championship game last Wednesday, 10-1.
The Lady Storm, now 1-10 overall, have three home games scheduled this week, beginning with a game in Benson against St. Peter, Tuesday (yesterday) and continuing with a doubleheader against Visitation in Morris, Friday night and Saturday.
No statistics were received from the coaches for the International Falls game.
Litchfield-DC 10, MBA 1
Kortney Sanasack scored the only goal for MBA during a 10-1 loss to Litchfield-DC in the championship game of the holiday tourney last Wednesday in Benson.
Sanasack scored an unassisted goal 1:51 into the game, but LDC went on to score the final two goals of the first period to go into the first intermission with a 2-1 lead and then added three goals in the second period and five more in the third for the final margin.
Seven different skaters had at least two points for LDC, which had 11 players score at least one point.  Gabby Robertson (2 goals and 2 assists), and Anna Holcomb (1 goal and three assists) led the way for the Dragons.
Ava Breuer stopped 33 shots in net for the Lady Storm, who were outshot 43-18 overall.
