KMS softball team falls in Section 3A finals

The KMS softball team finished second in Section 3A after losing to Edgerton in the championship game, Thursday at Marshall, 11-4.  The Saints went 4-2 in the section tourney and closed out the 2021 season with a 20-6 overall record.

That was the 13th season in the past 17 the Saints have won at least 20 games.  Edgerton beat KMS earlier in the upper-bracket finals, 14-1, but the Saints stayed alive with a 10-7 win over Wabasso in the consolation bracket.

“It was a wild year and to end the season 20-6, I’m really proud of the girls,” head coach Eileen Suter said.  “I have so many players coming back next season and with the players that have gained some valuable experience, it’s going to be fun next season.  There is definitely a lot to look forward to.”
