New camp sites at Ambush Park meant to attract workers

Eight new campsites will be added to Ambush Park in the coming weeks on the site of the former Rob’s Motel.

At Monday night’s Benson City Council meeting, Public Works Director Dan Gens showed members a layout of the eight sites at the park that will only be served by electricity at this time.

Gens has promoted establishing the sites to accommodate workers who will be in the area this spring and summer working on the U.S. Highway 12 and Minnesota 29 bridges.
