Highlights in sports from years gone by . . .

With the start of the winter high school sports season delayed by at least 3-4 weeks this winter, we’re bringing back the “Highlights from years gone by . . .” column for the month of December.

We hope you enjoy reading about the BHS and KMS student-athletes from the past in news stories taken from Monitor-News issues from one to 50-plus years ago.

I know it’s not quite the same as the actual competition this winter, but our hope is that Benson and KMS will be back competing on the basketball court, wrestling mat, at the gymnastics center, or on the hockey rink very soon.
