Gymnasts set season- high during home win

The Benson-KMS gymnastics team scored a season-best 137.9 points during a 137.9-118.95 win at home against Paynesville/Eden Valley-Watkins last Tuesday night in the Benson Armory.

The Fighting Braves had a solid effort from all eight girls who competed on the varsity team during the competition, including the top three all-around finishers, Mariah Ahrndt, Libby McGeary, and Makenna Kelley.

Benson-KMS has scored over 130 points in six of its seven competitions this season, including scores of 135.675, 135.075, and the recent 137.9 score.

The gymnasts were set to host Long Prairie-GE Monday before closing out the regular-season at a meet at Alexandria, Friday.  The WCC Meet is set for the following Friday, Feb. 7 at LPGE High School,  and the Section 6A Tourney is set for Saturday, Feb. 15 at Howard Lake-WW.  It’s almost tournament time...
