Green, brown glass are now recyclable

“I am actually coming to you guys with some good news today on glass recycling,” Environmental Services Director Scott Collins told the Swift County Board of Commissioners at their April 5 meeting.
Collins told the board he found a company in St. Paul that will take all colors of glass without it having to be separated. Green, brown, and clear glass will all be recycled, he said. “That is a phenomenal deal.”
Back in October 2020, Swift County started charging 7 cents per pound for disposing of green and brown glass.'
