Gloria Constance Wigfield, San Diego, formerly Benson

Gloria Constance Wigfield was born June 21, 1926 to Sam & Alma Kjenstad. Gloria passed away Monday,  April 1, 2013.  She was raised in Norwegian tradition in South Minneapolis, along with five beloved siblings.

Gloria married George (Duke) in 1947 and moved to Benson in 1952.  Together, they ran Wigfield's Department  Store for over 30 years before retiring to San Diego in 1986.
Gloria is survived by her five children: David (Louise), John, Anna Brudvig (Jim), Adam (Linda), Mary Langan (Patrick); 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Wigfield and Milka Wigfield.   

Gloria loved music, art, walking, current events, playing Bridge, and spending time with her precious family.  Gloria's ready smile, cordial and steady grace, strength and sense of humor endeared her to all.  A good laugh with family and friends while reminiscing about times in Benson, California and at Lake Glichrist (along with making plans for future  gatherings!)  brought her the greatest joy.
A celebration of Gloria's life was held  Friday, April 5 at the Lake Johanna Shore Chapel,  Arden Hills,  Minnesota.
