Girls tennis team tops YME for second win

The Benson-KMS girls tennis team picked up its second win of the season last week with a 7-0 shutout at Yellow Medicine East, Thursday night.

The Fighting Braves also played at Lac qui Parle-DB last Tuesday, losing 5-2, and hosted Montevideo, Friday, falling 6-1.

Benson-KMS is now 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the WCC following last week’s action.  This week, the team was set to play at Melrose Area, Tuesday (yesterday) and host Sauk Centre, Thursday (tomorrow).

Alana Hettver leads the team with a 4-1 record, while four others are 3-3 and five are 2-4...
