Girls tennis team picks up first two wins

The Benson-KMS girls tennis team earned its first two wins of the season last week, beating Lac qui Parle/Dawson-Boyd last Tuesday night in Benson, 6-1, and also shutting out Yellow Medicine East at home, Thursday, 7-0.

The Fighting Braves, coached by Coleton Anderson and Datriana Jensen, improved to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the WCC with the two wins heading into this week’s matches at home Tuesday (yesterday) against Melrose and at Sauk Centre, Thursday (tomorrow).

“The girls had a great week,” coach Coleton Anderson said.  “We’re just excited to be playing and it was nice to pick up a few wins...”
