Girls tennis splits opening matches at triangular

The Benson-KMS girls tennis team opened up the season with a split of matches during a home triangular, Saturday.

The Fighting Braves, coached by Coleton Anderson, with assistance from Datriana Jensen and Don Brehmer, topped Pipestone Area in one match, 5-2, but fell in a close match with Luverne in the other, 4-3.

Addy DeToy, playing fourth singles, was the only Benson-KMS player to win both matches.

The team was set to play at NLS, Tuesday (yesterday) and host BBE, Thursday (tomorrow) before playing at the Long Prairie-GE quadrangular, Friday...
