Gary Richard Trew, 54, Cape Charles, VA

Gary Richard Trew, 54, husband of Diane Patrice Trew passed away suddenly at Cape Charles Marina in Cape Charles,Virginia aboard the C.C. Rider on Sunday, April 7, 2013. He was a resident of Benson, MN but spent some of his retirement in Cape Charles as Captain of the C.C. Rider. He was born October 22, 1958 in Flint, Michigan and was the son of the late Burley William Trew and Eeva Heinonen Trew.
Other than his spouse he is survived by four sons, Shawn William Trew of Richmond, VA, Kyle Douglas Trew of Long Valley, NJ, Jacob Burley Trew of Alexandria, MN, David Marion Trew of Benson, MN; a daughter, Hillary Rose Trew of Long Island, NJ; two brothers, Mark William Trew of West Palm Beach, FL, Lee Stevens Trew of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Lea Suzette Trew Porter, of Raleigh, NC; also several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held dockside at the Cape Charles Harbor, 11 Marina Rd., Cape Charles, VA , Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Afterwards the family will be taking his ashes out to sea and then meeting later at The Shanty.
