Farmland, home values seeing big jump for 2023

Perhaps, Swift County could have added that warning to the property valuation statements it just mailed. It would have been a forewarning of what the opener of the envelope would find inside.
The notices inform property owners of what their assessed values will be for taxes payable in 2023.
“With the market increasing like it did, we had some big changes,” Swift County Assessor Joe Tschida told the county board of commissioners at their March 15 meeting. “I thought it best to give you guys a heads-up on that. I am sure you will get phone calls on this, too.”
