Elizabeth Ann Broich, September 25, 1975 • August 24, 2023

Elizabeth Ann Broich gained her angel wings August 24, 2023, due to medical complications. She attained the age of 47.
Visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation continued Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Benson.
Interment was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Holloway, Minnesota.
Liz was born September 25, 1975, in Appleton, Minnesota to Ron and Cindy Giese. She was baptized November 9, 1975, and confirmed in May 1991, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holloway, Minnesota.
Liz graduated from Benson High School in 1994. She went to Willmar Technical College for photography, which she loved. She worked at various jobs through the years: management at fast food restaurants, Divine House, and CCA Prairie Correctional Facility. In 2010, she was diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS.)
While working at the prison in Appleton, Liz met the love of her life, Michael Broich. They were united in marriage July 16, 2016. With this marriage Liz not only gained a husband but the family she had always wanted. They lived in Montevideo, Minnesota.
Liz enjoyed many things in life: spending time with family, fishing, singing, drawing, being with her grandchildren, sewing, and small crafting. Let us not forget her fur babies, Rosie and Luca.
Liz is survived by her husband Mike of seven years; their children: Staci, Cathi (Greg) Towne, Zach, Dani, and Xavery, and grandchildren: Dylon, Kyla, and Mallory.
She is also survived by her father, Ron Giese, her sisters: Jennifer (Bob) Hammerschmidt, Jackie (Scott) Barrett, Rebecca (Mike) Burns, her father and mother-in-law Doug and Linda Broich, her brothers-in-law Ryan (Sarah) Broich and Todd (Kristin) Broich, her nieces and nephews: Nichole, Natasha, Kelsey, Cody, Danielle, Brandon, Jordan, Courtney, Jase, Hunter, Megan, Miley, Alec, and Ellie, her grandmother Lilah Mae Gades, and many other family and friends.
Liz was preceded in death by her mother Cynthia Giese, her niece Stacy Hammerschmidt, nephew Joseph Burns, her grandparents, along with other family members.
