East Pacific Avenue reconstruction bids come in unexpectedly low

Over the past year the City of Benson has become used to bids coming in higher than expected. So it was a surprise when the bids for improvements to east Pacific Avenue (Gusty’s Road) came in well below the engineer’s estimate.
The engineer’s estimate for road improvements to the stretch of Pacific Avenue from just east of 9th Street South to 20th Avenue Southeast was $423,000.
