Dwight ‘Dice’ Nash

Dwight "Dice" Nash, 72, of Benson, Minnesota, passed away May 29, 2024. A memorial service to celebrate Dwight's life will be held Thursday, June 13 at 3:00 p.m.  at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be June 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prairie Hill Cemetery in Bradley, SD.
Dwight was born in Webster, SD, August 7, 1951. As a child he loved spending time on the family farm. He attended school in South Dakota and Oregon, graduating from Milbank High School in Milbank, SD. Dwight was a veteran who served in the US Navy from 1970 to 1974, with the Naval Construction Battalions (Seabees). Following his military service, he held a variety of jobs, including work in construction, agriculture, and fabrication. He was also a lifelong musician, playing bass guitar in several bands. Dwight enjoyed spending time with friends and family in many ways, including listening to records at home, taking vacations together, and attending live music events. He was also very proud to become a lifetime member at the Starbuck VFW.
Dwight was preceded in death by his brother, Will. He is survived by his son, Corey (Dina); grandchildren Griffin, Caden, and Rohan; mother, Frances Giessinger; father, Lee; brother Wendell, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Dwight will be remembered for his fun-loving personality, his love for music, and the joy he brought to those around him. May he rest in peace.
