Dineen places first at State 5A-6A Wrestling Prelims

Five members of the Benson wrestling team competed at the State 5A-6A Prelims, Saturday at Long Prairie.  Earning a berth in this Saturday’s State Class A Wrestling Tournament was Benson sophomore Thomas Dineen, who placed first at 195 pounds to earn his third-straight state tournament berth.
Dineen went 3-0 to win the 195-pound title and will go into the state meet with a perfect 35-0 record and ranked first in state.
